Fashion is all around us. It is something that absolutely fascinates me. 

When I was 11 years old my father took me to Peru where he currently runs his manufacturing for his clothing company.  As I was walking down the streets and through the markets I feel in love with the designs and uniqueness of the art that they were producing. It was absolutely life changing and something I will never forget. It was during that trip where I truly discovered my passion for fashion. 

I am currently 20 years old and a student at the University of Colorado Boulder. I go to a school filled with rich kids that all look the same. That is what is so fascinating about fashion to me. How something so complex and different can be condensed into a singular style. 

My goal with these shoes was to cater to style in a different and unique way. The pattern I used has been produced for hundreds of years by the Incas. It is known as the Manta pattern and can be found in ancient Peruvian culture. Every single piece of clothing has a story.
